My goal was to look fantastic in a bridesmaid dress and get back to my ‘fighting weight’.
I'd recently given up smoking and the weight was piling on and I was lacking in motivation to get fit and healthy and then jollyfitness.com arrived. They helped me train 3 times a week, get my diet back on track and start feeling a whole load better. I've kept up the fitness and healthy eating and
I've loads more energy and enthusiasm. I looked fab too in the bridesmaid dress!!!
I would recommend jollyfitness.com to everyone. It really keeps you motivated and helps you reach your goals. The team have vast amount of knowledge and experience so whatever your goal is the lads will help you to reach it.

At the age of 57 I wanted to get back rowing after years of hardly any exercise. I needed help to get reintroduced to a well-balanced exercise regime tailored to my age and requirements.
I started doing three sessions a week with Joe Shaw and Ollie Phillips of Jolly Fitness five weeks ago and I already feel a million times better than I have done for years. I’ve already done two rowing sessions on the Tyne and as a result of my training feel well able to cope with the demands of the rowing course I am on.
Joe Shaw and Ollie Phillips make sure that each training session is tailored to my needs and to my aspirations. They deliver a really good balance of encouragement which makes me come back for more!

Working with Ollie has always been a pleasure. He is a great communicator both on and off the field and interacts positively with anyone. In addition, his experiences in and contributions towards an elite team environment with the England 7s team make Jolly Fitness a safe bet for your personal improvement.

The regime has required a certain a certain amount of discipline and motivation but with regular contact from Jo and Ollie this has never been a problem. They have a great knack for making hard work fun and I now even look forward to getting up at 6.45 in the morning to get to the Gym
I would thoroughly recommend to anyone that they link up with Jolly Fitness. It is not just a gym or a club it is more of a lifestyle commitment. I can honestly say that Jolly Fitness has changed my outlook on the way that I want to live and the way that I want to feel. It is a brilliant concept.

Working in a very busy desk bound office environment where long hours are the norm taking exercise had become very low down on my agenda. With the goal of getting myself in shape in time to be a bridesmaid at my pal's wedding I contacted jolly fitness in desperation. They jumped at the challenge and to my aid with their carefully worked out balanced exercise programme and useful tips on improving my diet and lifestyle generally. I was able to make time in my hectic schedule to take regular exercise and make an effort to eat more healthily. I was delighted with the results achieved in such a short time.
I soon shaped up and I looked and felt so much better. I slept soundly and generally had so much more energy. Clothes which have become tight fitted me comfortably. Training became the highlight of my day and a pleasure not a chore. I have been inspired to continue and now ensure I take regular exercise and keep a watchful eye on what I eat.
Thanks jolly fitness!

I am 50 years old and when I joined Jolly Fitness it was with the aim to lose weight, reduce my waist size and become fitter.
In my teenage years I was very athletic playing football, athletics, basketball etc.
I am 6’ 3” and when I ‘weighed in’ with Jolly Fitness I was 23 stones. My main problem was the diet, eating at the wrong time of the day, main meals after 7:30pm. Unlike my wife Grace I do not have a drink problem!
I train for three one-hour sessions every week and during the first three months I lost 2 stones.
I have been going to the gym for almost six months and I have lost 3 stones in total and reduced my waist size by 4 inches.
My objective is to have a 36” waist and weigh 17 stones and I know that with Jolly Fitness this can be achieved.

Ollie is currently one of England Sevens’ most experienced players, bringing not only his considerable skills on the field to the fore but also his ability to get the best out of those around him.
Ever the team man, he has a great knack of getting the best out of those around him. No ego or self publicity from Ollie, it’s all about getting a great team environment and from that helping to produce world class performances.
In sporting terms he is one of your cultural architects - coaching, motivating and training from within the team and this twinned with all the tools he has acquired whilst with Newcastle and England delivers a very rounded individual that offers huge amounts to whatever he wishes to turn his talents to.

I am 45 years old and decided to join Jolly Fitness six months ago because like a lot of middle-aged women I’d noticed it was getting a little harder to squeeze into my dresses.
In my younger years I was always keen on sports especially swimming and netball where I represented by county.
My aim with Jolly Fitness was to lose one stone and a couple of inches around my stomach.
I go to the gym for three one-hour sessions every week and I’m pleased with my progress. I am half-way to my target weight and can easily fit into my dresses.
I am fairly sensible with my diet, however, the wine is my sin as Jolly Fitness will no doubt confirm!
I can honestly say I feel good about myself and am 100% fitter.

I am a businessman and have been based in the North East for nine years and actually lived there for over five but business takes me away a lot and involved far too many lunches, dinners and hotel breakfasts etc. In summary far too much of the good life! Although it has been thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding the fitness and waistline suffered and, in fact resulted in heart problems and time in hospital. Not something I would recommend. However, something I would recommend enormously is the Jolly Fitness programme,
I met Joe Shaw and Ollie Phillips through their sponsorship at Newcastle Falcons and very quickly became very close friends and, when discussing with the guys the lifestyle myself and my business partner led, they were surprised we were still alive and very generously offered to help us do something about it if we committed to a healthy eating and exercise programme. We were, by the way, weighing 50 stone between us so it was a daunting task for them.
We had both played lot of sport in our deep and distant youth and decided to give it a go. To say it’s changed my life may be a sweeping statement but I lost 3 stone and have fitness levels now I never dreamed I’d regain but moreover it’s fun. A small team of friends has built up now which is great for motivation, especially on those dark winter mornings when you don’t’ want to get up out of bed. Don’t get me wrong, it can be hard work but it can be fun and boy is it worth it.
Thanks guys; I owe you big time – actually not so big time thanks to you!

Before I started training with Jolly Fitness I was sluggish and easily out of breath and unfit and my aim was to lose weight and improve fitness levels.
I have now been following the Jolly Fitness programme which has been specifically designed for me and I have seen a vast improvement. I have lost 2 stone in weight and can run for four miles quite comfortably.
It has greatly changed my life and I have a more positive attitude and has increased my self-confidence.

I have never really been fully dedicated to getting fit though I have certainly played at it with joining countless gyms over the years and spent thousands of pounds on the usual yoga and fitness classes.
After another year and another lapsed gym membership in March this year Ollie Phillips finally persuaded me to join the Jolly Fitness early morning fitness group,
I was keen to improve my general fitness levels and feel more energised (there was also the small goal of fitting into an expensive bikini for my up and coming holiday!). I thoroughly enjoy the relaxed approach to training sessions. It’s a short, sharp burst which sets me up for the day. It’s a great group of people that train together and we each have different fitness levels but we still all get individual treatment relevant to our needs from Ollie and Joe. Their approach is both encouraging and challenging and I always find I’ve pushed myself harder than I thought I could (or planned to) all without it being unpleasant or a chore. As a result of this I have managed to maintain regular visits to the gym (the staff even know my name!) and feel far more energised which becomes more apparent when I’ve had a holiday or missed a couple of sessions.
I would thoroughly recommend Ollie Phillips and Joe Shaw and Jolly Fitness to anyone whatever their goal or fitness level. They are professional knowledgeable but most of all great fun. They made a lazy girl a regular gym member a wee bit lighter on the scales but most importantly fitter and healthier.
Job done. Cheers chaps!

Joe Shaw has been an outstanding contributor to the Newcastle Falcons Community Department since he began at the club and he has been the winner of the club’s Community Player of the Season for the last five seasons; not one of the other dedicated squad members comes close to Joe’s commitment.
This season alone Joe accumulated almost 200 hours worth of community visits which is the equivalent of about 20 visits per month. An example of these include an overnight stay in Sheffield for a contact coaching session, a visit to a prison group coaching a young person who is at risk of offending on a regular basis and making monthly visits to support and mentor a youngster who broke his neck playing in a game of rugby (and giving him and his family his personal tickets to the Falcons games).
The difference with Joe is that not only does he go above and beyond in the visits he’s asked to participate in but he actively seeks projects to become involved in visiting the community office on a weekly basis to see if there is anything he can help with. Such is his commitment to the community charity that Joe was honoured at Number 10 Downing Street this year with his induction into the Show Racism the Red Card Hall of Fame, the first rugby player to be awarded this accolade.
Joe also became involved in other things with the community department; an example of was he volunteered to visit a potential sponsor to encourage them to sponsor the community department – a partnership that has brought in over £10,000 to the Falcons Community Charity.
I really can’t say enough about Joe’s commitment to the community department and the Falcons in general.
Melanie Magee – Community Department Manager, Newcastle Falcons

My involvement with Ollie both in rugby and away from the training paddock has always been a hugely positive one. His constant energy and enthusiasm for life is infectious coupled with a burning desire and work ethic means that whatever he turns his hand to I have no doubt will be a success.
In Jolly Fitness he has found an idea that he is very passionate about and I believe that his and Jolly Fitness’s goal of helping people be the best they can be is one that he will constantly strive to achieve and is everything that Ollie is himself.
Lastly Ollie always works with a smile on his face.

We all have incredibly busy lives, juggling our work/life balance and more often than not, it is the time you want to spend on yourself which is the first to go. I’m no different.
Over the last few years, I have let work take over and become something of a “couch potato”, exerting all my energies on work matters and feeling like I didn’t have enough left to do the things I knew needed to be done. Like taking care of my diet and going to the gym.
I was introduced to the guys at Jolly Fitness (Joe and Ollie) through a friend and the difference they have made in the last 7 weeks has been great. As modern professional sportsmen, they really do know their way around the impact of exercise and diet.
What has been really good is that the advice and training I have been given has been pitched at a level which I know is doing me good but not that much that it might put me off. It’s not draconian. I don’t have to live like a recluse. I get encouraged to both stretch myself physically and restrain my love of good food appropriately. I still enjoy my Friday night out for a beer and a curry, only now, I don’t feel the slightest bit guilty!
Like many of us, I have a sedentary occupation, with long periods travelling or sat in front of the laptop. Apart from the fact that my suits fit more comfortably than they did before, it is the really noticeable boost in my energy that stands out.
Without doubt, getting involved with Jolly Fitness has been the best decision I have made this year.
